In the era of online shopping, Restoration Hardware wants to prove that the in-person experience is the new luxury by opening a massive flagship gallery in New York City.
The gallery is located in a historic landmark building in the heart of the Meatpacking District, at the intersection of Little West 12th Street, Ninth Avenue, and Gansevoort Street. Renowned architect James Gillam of Backen, Gillam & Kroeger Architects, brought a modern vision to the steel-and-glass industrial-style structure.

Measuring 90,000-square-feet and standing six stories high, the flagship integrates all of RH’s businesses, and includes a striking art installation, a rooftop restaurant, wine terrace, and barista bar, which marks a continued foray for the brand, this time into hospitality.

“We were inspired by that spirit to create a retail experience worthy of such an iconic corner in what is arguably the most important city in the world,” says RH Chairman & CEO Gary Friedman.
The restaurant is open from 10 a.m. until 9 p.m. from Monday through Saturday, and 11 a.m. until 7 p.m. on Sundays.
